"Adult" Definition (for the purpose of BC education funding)

An adult is a BC resident that is 18 years of age or older on July 1st of the current school year.

 

Course Costs

Courses are FREE for an adult who hasn't graduated (in ANY province or country).

A select list of courses is FREE for adults who have graduated. These are:

LF Math 60,70, All Math 11-12, Biology 11-12, Chemistry 11-12, Physics 11-12, English 11-12, Comm 11-12.

For a graduated adult who chooses to take a course NOT in the list, the cost is $600/course.

 


Adult Graduation Program

You can use up to two (qualifying) courses from before you entered the adult grad program.

To graduate with an Adult Diploma one needs 20 credits (5 courses).

 

Two Mandatory Courses:

  1. English 12 or Communications 12
  2. Apprenticeship & Workplace Math 11 or Foundations Math 11 or Pre-Calculus Math 11

 

Three Electives:

 

Note: For those students that have not taken a Math course for over 2 years, you will be required to take Literacy Foundation Math course(s) to bridge the gap to Math 11. We also offer Literacy Foundation English Courses to meet the prerequisites and provide necessary skills to be successful in the Communications 12/English 12 Courses. 

Our Graduated Adult program is used for upgrading usually related to job changes or academic prerequisites.

ADULTS THAT ARE NOT GRADUATED MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH OUR ADULT REGISTRAR.
